Sammie

Sammie is a young, friendly, and energetic dog who has won over everyone she meets. After being found on her own, she spent nine months thriving in a foster home where she proved to be house trained, crate trained, and highly adaptable. She did well with an energetic child, loves car rides, and enjoys outdoor playtime—especially running, rolling in the grass, and playing with squeaky toys. Sammie is smart, treat-motivated, and knows several commands, making her both fun and easy to work with.

Despite sometimes barking in the shelter, Sammie is truly affectionate and loves cuddling, giving gentle kisses, and spending time with her people. Staff and volunteers describe her as sweet, easygoing, and happy, with a playful side that includes zoomies and lots of tail wags. She’s been independent but calm around other dogs and would benefit from a meet-and-greet with any potential canine housemates; she may do best in a home without cats. With a little time to settle in, Sammie has all the qualities of a loving and loyal companion.
